BROCA’S SPEECH PRONUNCIATION
PRONOUNCE WORDS AND SYLLABLES
The cognitive area of the brain associated with speech is called Broca’s located in the frontal lobe of the dominant hemisphere, usually on the left side of the brain.
A dysfunction leads to individuals incorrectly pronouncing words as well as limited vocabulary using simple words only because of the difficulty with phonics in reading out loud.
Due to the amount of concentration required to pronounce words cognitive capacity is reduced and individuals lose their train of thought. Individuals can be shy as they lack the self-confidence, and their speech is often monotone without intonation and public speaking or conversations with people in social situations is more challenging.
