NON-VERBAL THINKING

UNDERSTANDING SOCIAL CUES

This cognitive area addresses your ability to interpret non-verbal information like facial expression. Individuals may also have difficulty in correctly interpreting their emotions and those of others because they cannot ‘read’ the situation.

A person may continue to talk without noticing other people have ‘switched off’ or they become fixated on something like impulse buying.

Without the cognitive ability to plan in advance or correctly evaluate all relevant aspects of a situation an individual often sees an area of visual information without correctly evaluating all relevent information which leads to the wrong conclusion in work, school or social situations.
